Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Augustine). They walked away with a 93-86 victory over the Cathedral Catholic Dons on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Saints also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Cathedral Catholic's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was PJ Jourdain, who went 8 of 18 en route to 24 points. Another player making a difference was Patrick O'Brien, who posted 19 points and eight rebounds.

The win was the fourth in a row for St. Augustine, bringing their record for this year to 7-12. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.3 points per game. As for Cathedral Catholic, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Augustine will welcome Mission Bay at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in St. Augustine's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Cathedral Catholic, they will host Scripps Ranch at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Cathedral Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Scripps Ranch likes a good challenge.
