Basketball Recap: Caddo Mills Triumphs

Caddo Mills's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 35-34 photo finish over the Wills Point Tigers. This was a revenge game for the Foxes: when they faced off against the Tigers on January 3rd, they had to take a 39-22 defeat.

Leading Caddo Mills to victory were Aubrey Colwell and Jailyn Gonzales. Colwell dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds, while Gonzales almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards. What's more, Gonzales also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Emeril Grant, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Caddo Mills' win bumped their record up to 12-18. As for Wills Point, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-10.

Caddo Mills didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-36 victory against Community on the 24th. Wills Point has also already played their next contest, a 77-28 defeat against Sunnyvale on the 24th.
