Softball Recap: Echols County Wildcats vs. Irwin County Indians
Echols County lost against Irwin County back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Echols County Wildcats lost 20-3 to the Irwin County Indians. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Echols County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Irwin County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Echols County will face off against Lanier County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Irwin County, they will head out on the road to take on Clinch County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Irwin County knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten run or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Clinch County likes a good challenge.
