Basketball Recap: Valmeyer Comes Up Short

Valmeyer lost against Steeleville back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Valmeyer Pirates were dealt a 63-31 defeat at the hands of the Steeleville Warriors. The game marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Valmeyer has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Steeleville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.

Coming up, Valmeyer is taking a road trip to face off against Lebanon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Steeleville, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Trico at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
