The Seton Catholic Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Toutle Lake Ducks at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Seton Catholic will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
On Thursday, Seton Catholic beat Columbia 5-2. Those five runs were actually the fewest the Cougars have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Jocelyn Kender made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kingsley Williams, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Ellie Travalia, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Toutle Lake and Rainier, and Rainier kept the tradition alive. The Ducks came up short against the Mountaineers on Thursday, falling 12-2.
Toutle Lake saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jolene Vanhoof, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Seton Catholic pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Toutle Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Toutle Lake's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Seton Catholic has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12 hits per game. It's a different story for Toutle Lake, though, as they've been averaging 10.6 hits. Given Seton Catholic's sizable advantage in that area, the Ducks will need to find a way to close that gap.
