Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Merritt Island). They put the hurt on the Titusville Terriers with a sharp 18-1 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Elena Rollen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Elliott, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Merritt Island kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.

Merritt Island's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Titusville, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

Merritt Island didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-7 win against Sebastian River on the 22nd. As for Titusville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 18-12 victory against Cocoa on the 21st.
