Pana is 1-8 against Staunton since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Panthers will welcome the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Pana will be strutting in after a victory while Staunton will be coming in after a defeat.
Pana is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Hillsboro with a sharp 16-3 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Hiltoppers: they've now won four in a row.

Brylan Miller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Miller was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Parker Moore, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Madyx Angel, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Pana kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Staunton fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Southwestern on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Piasa Birds by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Piasa Birds: they've now lost three in a row.
Reese Bohlen put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two doubles.
In other batting news, Carter Legendre was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Staunton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9-1. As for Pana, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Pana's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Panthers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Staunton, though, as they've been averaging only 1.4 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Pana continue to outrun the ball?
