Softball Recap: Bishop McDevitt Crusaders vs. Red Land Patriots
Bishop McDevitt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Red Land Patriots, falling 11-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Wednesday.
Katelyn Roadcap made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Bishop McDevitt's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Red Land, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-3.
Bishop McDevitt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Red Land, they will face off against Northeastern at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
