Softball Recap: O'Neill Raiders vs. Beacon Bulldogs
O'Neill had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 21-9 margin over the Beacon Bulldogs.
For Beacon's part, they got a massive performance out of Aslynn Way, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Sally Betterbid, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and a run.
Beacon now has a losing record at 1-2.
O'Neill will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Roosevelt at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Beacon, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Port Jervis at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
