The Gosnell Pirates will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Corning Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Gosnell's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches.
Gosnell posted their biggest victory yet this season last Thursday. They breezed by Piggott on the road to the tune of 78-40.
Meanwhile, Corning beat Harrisburg 45-37 last Friday. Given Corning's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Harrisburg is ranked 267th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Gosnell's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8. As for Corning, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
