Druid Hills waltzed into their game on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Sandy Creek Patriots. The Red Devils were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Patriots, so the Red Devils were just returning the favor.

While Druid Hills won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-19.

Druid Hills was led to victory by Lucca Rodrigez-Pedraza and Kassidy Manning. Rodrigez-Pedraza had six digs and two aces, while Manning had ten assists. Those six digs gave Rodrigez-Pedraza a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why Sandy Creek lost, don't look at Sarai Stephens. Despite the final result, she had 15 assists and five digs. Stephens is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Druid Hills' victory bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Sandy Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
