Basketball Game Preview: Malcolm Clippers vs. Raymond Central Mustangs

Malcolm has gone 8-2 against Raymond Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Clippers will be home for the holidays to greet the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Raymond Central took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Malcolm, who comes in off a win.

Malcolm took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against North Bend Central, sneaking past 52-50. The Clippers haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Among those leading the charge was Brixon Meyer, who posted eight points in addition to 12 rebounds and seven assists. Those 12 boards gave him a new career-high. Gavin Little was another key player, going 5-for-9 on his way to 12 points.

Meanwhile, Raymond Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Syracuse and fell 75-24.

Raymond Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Malcolm, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Malcolm took their victory against Raymond Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 68-44 score. Will the Clippers repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
