Baseball Recap: Trinity Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity). They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Fall River Bulldogs on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Wolves as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Owen C spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 14 Ks.

On the hitting side, Trinity got a big performance out of Wambli W, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Wayne Woodman, who got on base in three of his six plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Trinity hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fall River struck out 14 times.

Trinity's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-10. As for Fall River, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Trinity beat the Bulldogs by a score of 20-17 later that day.
