Manning won the last time they faced Scott's Branch and Lovell Stevenson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Monarchs walked away with a 55-45 victory over the Eagles on Friday thanks in part to Stevenson, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lovon Stevenson, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. He also posted a block, marking his first of the season.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nyren Bowman, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. Quinton Jackson was another key player, putting up 14 points and three steals.

Manning's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Scott's Branch, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.

Manning didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-50 loss against Myrtle Beach on the 6th. As for Scott's Branch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 41-31 defeat against Lake City on the 9th.
