Baseball Recap: Penn Hills Takes a Loss

Penn Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-2 to the Gateway Gators. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to the Gators when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Penn Hills saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Nelson, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Penn Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Gateway, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Penn Hills has already played their next match, an 18-3 loss against Franklin Regional on the 25th. As for Gateway, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-0 victory against McGuffey on the 24th.
