North Fort Myers is 7-1 against North Port since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The North Fort Myers Red Knights will host the North Port Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
North Port will be up against a hot North Fort Myers squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. North Fort Myers' pitchers stepped up to hand Immokalee a 15-0 shutout on Friday. Fans of the Red Knights have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Jordyn Prado was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was even better at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Abigail Hynes was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alison Smith, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
North Fort Myers was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .583. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .577 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, North Port had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Port Charlotte on Friday as North Port made off with a 17-1 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bobcats have posted since April 5, 2024.
The team relied heavily on Kaitlin Kohlenberg, who scored four runs and stole five bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Cailinne Kelly was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
North Fort Myers' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for North Port, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Everything went North Fort Myers' way against North Port in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as North Fort Myers made off with a 22-6 win. Does North Fort Myers have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Port turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
