Basketball Recap: Rossville Bulldogs vs. St. Marys Bears
The Rossville Bulldogs waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They secured a 62-57 W over St. Marys. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rossville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mason Jones, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Jones has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kameron Badura, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Rossville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for St. Marys, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rossville will take on the Mustangs at TBD on Thursday. Rock Creek will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak. As for St. Marys, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Silver Lake knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully the Bears like a good challenge.
