Baseball Recap: ThunderRidge Victorious

The ThunderRidge Grizzlies were able to grind out a solid victory over the Boulder Panthers on Saturday, taking the game 6-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Grizzlies.

Will Paquette and Shane Christy did most of the damage at the plate: Paquette went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Christy went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Christy has become a key player for ThunderRidge: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-14 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Zentner, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

ThunderRidge's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Boulder, they dropped their record down to 8-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. ThunderRidge will square off against Rocky Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Grizzlies will need to watch out since the Lobos have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Boulder, they will face off against Highlands Ranch at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
