Sacred Heart wins going away against North Callaway

In what's become a running theme this season, the Sacred Heart Gremlins gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They put the hurt on North Callaway with a sharp 71-45 win. Given Sacred Heart's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while North Callaway is ranked 471st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why North Callaway lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sam Pezold. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Pezold is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Austin Brown, who scored five points along with two steals.

Sacred Heart is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for North Callaway, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sacred Heart will take on La Monte at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sacred Heart will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something La Monte surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Callaway, they will head out on the road to face off against Mark Twain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Callaway is facing Mark Twain at the right time seeing as Mark Twain is stuck on a eight-game losing streak.
