Football Game Preview: Dyer County Choctaws vs. Jackson South Side Hawks + Official Tickets

The Dyer County Choctaws will challenge the Jackson South Side Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dyer County proved they can win big on October 3rd (they won by 32) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by University School of Jackson 27-26.

Dyer County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landon Daniels, who threw for 235 yards and a pair of TDs, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Keanthony Barbee was Daniels' top target, picking up 14 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Jackson South Side won against Chester County last Friday with 35 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Hawks took down Hardin County 35-20.

Jackson South Side is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.6 points on average over those games. As for Dyer County, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
