Basketball Recap: Coffeeville Comes Up Short

If Coffeeville was riding high fresh off their 50-4 takedown of Strayhorn last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Coffeeville Pirates were beaten by the Potts Camp Cardinals 68-31 on Tuesday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Coffeeville dropped their record down to 1-18 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Potts Camp, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14.

Coffeeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Potts Camp, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Potts Camp Cardinals face off against the Blue Mountain Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
