Basketball Recap: Constitution Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Constitution Generals didn't have quite enough to beat the Marshall Academy Panthers and fell 56-53.

When it comes to explaining why Constitution lost, don't look at Alantay Dawson. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 15 en route to 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Khaleek Johnson, who posted 14 points.

Even though they lost, Constitution smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January.

Constitution now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Marshall Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Constitution wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 79-43 win against Franklin Towne on the 16th. As for Marshall Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-51 loss against DeWitt Clinton on the 16th.
