Baseball Game Preview: Parowan Rams vs. Emery Spartans

The Parowan Rams will take on the Emery Spartans at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Friday, Parowan didn't have quite enough to beat Enterprise and fell 6-5.

Parowan saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Townsend, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Emery, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against North Sanpete on Friday, sneaking past 3-1. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Garrett Conover spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Emery's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Parowan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
