Volleyball Recap: Axtell Comes Up Short

Axtell lost against Shelton back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16.

Emily Danburg paced Axtell's offense, picking up three kills. Danburg got some help from Madison Wells and her nine assists.

Axtell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Shelton, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Coming up, Axtell will challenge Loomis on Thursday. As for Shelton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Wilcox-Hildreth on the 16th.
