Basketball Recap: Northwestern Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Northwestern Eagles ended up a good deal behind East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] and lost 46-27. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lizzie Schlueter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax], dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Schlueter's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Oswald, who posted six points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Northwestern now has a losing record at 1-2. As for East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax], the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwestern will venture away from home to take on Hardin-Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax], they are taking a road trip to face off against Platte Valley co-op [South Nodaway/Jefferson] at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
