Baseball Recap: Mount View Mustangs vs. Belfast Lions
After flying high against George Stevens Academy on Tuesday, Mount View came back down to earth. The Mustangs took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belfast Lions on Thursday. Mustangs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Lions since on Thursday.
Tanner Oathout made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Miles Carter, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Mount View now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Belfast, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Looking ahead, Mount View will take on Maine Central Institute at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Belfast, they will challenge Lawrence at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
