The Vanguard School won the last time they faced James Irwin and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vanguard School Coursers really took it to the James Irwin Jaguars for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-27 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-19.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead The Vanguard School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordyn Christensen, who went 10-for-11 to rack up 20 points and four steals. What's more, Christensen posted two blocks, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Lily Blanchard was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten assists.

The Vanguard School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. They are 4-2 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Hannah Meier and Stella Reed certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Meier had 14 points along with eight blocks and seven steals, while Reed scored eight points. Reed continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

The win made it two in a row for The Vanguard School and bumps their season record up to 7-10. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.5 points. As for James Irwin, their loss was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-12.

The Vanguard School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-41 victory against Manitou Springs on the 24th. As for James Irwin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 57-26 defeat against Thomas MacLaren School on the 24th.
