Basketball Game Preview: Ellis Railroaders vs. Russell Broncos

The Ellis Railroaders will head out to face off against the Russell Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Last Friday, Ellis came up short against Norton and fell 35-28. The loss continues a trend for the Railroaders in their matchups with the Bluejays: they've now lost four in a row.

Ellis' defeat came about despite a quality game from Jaren Frickey, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, Russell strolled past Smoky Valley with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 61-46.

Russell is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Ellis, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Things could have been worse for Ellis, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-45 loss to Russell in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Ellis avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
