Yazoo County waltzed into their game on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They skirted past the Vicksburg Gators 9-7. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 11-8 win back in February.

The team relied heavily on Lilly Andrews, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Paris Boles, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Yazoo County's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Vicksburg, their defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Yazoo County Panthers duke it out with Winona Tigers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vicksburg, they will face off against West Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
