Softball Recap: Conner Cougars vs. Ludlow Panthers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Conner). They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Ludlow Panthers on Thursday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Bayli Bell tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, Conner let Bre Meredith and Averie Lightner run wild. Meredith went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Lightner went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Lightner a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kayla Ortiz, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
