Softball Recap: Portland Takes a Loss

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Portland was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They came up short against the Valley Regional Warriors, falling 13-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Highlanders in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost eight in a row.

Portland's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Valley Regional, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Portland will take on rival North Branford at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Valley Regional is set to square off against their familiar foe Hale Ray at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
