Basketball Recap: Towson Piles Up the Points Against Loch Raven

Towson lost to Loch Raven back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Towson Generals claimed a resounding 57-23 win over the Loch Raven Raiders. That's two games straight that the Generals have won by exactly 34 points.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aariyn Gibson, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Kensley Marcus, who put up seven points.

Towson now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Loch Raven, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Towson will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Loch Raven will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Hereford at 4:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Hereford's defense has only allowed 24.8 points per game this season, so Loch Raven's offense will have their work cut out for them.
