Baseball Game Preview: Osceola Warriors vs. Palm Harbor University Hurricanes

Osceola is 2-7 against Palm Harbor University since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Osceola will welcome Palm Harbor University at 7:00 p.m.

Osceola is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Buchholz.

Osceola had to settle for second despite strong performances on the mound from Aiden Dyals and Brock Golden Dyals tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits, while Golden pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave Dyals a new career-low in walks (zero).

Meanwhile, Palm Harbor University waltzed into their game on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Eagles.

Blye Monfred tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Palm Harbor University got a massive performance out of Sebbie Silva, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-5. Palm Harbor University is undefeated when Silva posts two or more runs, but 5-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Corbin Godoy, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Osceola's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Palm Harbor University, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
