Baseball Recap: Medical Lake Takes a Loss

Medical Lake lost against Freeman on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cardinals took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scotties. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clint Zimmerman was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Medical Lake's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Freeman, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Medical Lake will challenge Chewelah at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Freeman, they will face off against Lakeside at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.38 runs per game on average), something the Scotties will no doubt try to take advantage of.
