Basketball Recap: Abby Addison's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hicks over Evans

Hicks was the 52-32 winner over Evans when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates took a hard 55-38 fall against the Eagles on Thursday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Abby Addison, who made all 6 shots she took for 13 points. Thanks to that strong game, Addison now owns an excellent 53.3% shooting accuracy. Katie-Grace Quinn was another key player, putting up ten points.

Hicks' defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Evans, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Hicks' road trip will continue as they head out to face Many at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Evans, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Pickering at 6:00 p.m. on December 2.
