The Peoria Panthers entered their tilt with the Agua Fria Owls with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Peoria took their game at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 43-15 victory over Agua Fria. Peoria has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 25 points or more this season.
Leading Peoria to victory were Harmony Re and Michelle Kogbara. Re scored ten points along with two steals, while Kogbara dropped a double-double on 14 points and 19 rebounds. Re hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games.
Agua Fria's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Karla Mendez, who scored four points along with six steals, and Saleen Rios who scored two points along with three steals. Mendez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played.
Peoria's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28 points. As for Agua Fria, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peoria will take on Estrella Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Averaging 70.6 so far this season, Estrella Foothills' high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Peoria better be ready for a challenge. As for Agua Fria, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cactus at 7:00 p.m. Cactus comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
