Soccer Recap: New Prairie Comes Up Short

New Prairie lost against Michigan City back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of Wolves by a score of 3-2. One thing that didn't help New Prairie's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Rufino Gayton III.

Rory Zarate and Evan Chelminiak scored both of New Prairie's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

New Prairie now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Michigan City, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

New Prairie wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 9-0 victory against South Bend Washington on the 26th. As for Michigan City, they have also already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Kouts on the 25th.
