Basketball Recap: Naples Comes Up Short

If Naples was riding high fresh off their 64-34 takedown of Campbell-Savona last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Naples Big Green Machines took a 65-50 bruising from the Andover Panthers on Friday.

Naples' loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Andover, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

The future could be bright for both Naples and Andover: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Naples will look to extend Marion's 13-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Andover will try to hand Alfred-Almond their fifth-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
