Bayside and Tallwood are an even 4-4-2 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Marlins will host the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Friday just wasn't the day for Bayside's offense. They fell just short of Ocean Lakes by a score of 1-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Bayside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Ocean Lakes are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, Tallwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Salem, falling 4-0.

Tallwood's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Bayside, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5-5.

Bayside came out on top in a nail-biter against Tallwood in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Marlins repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
