Basketball Recap: Globe Takes a Loss

Globe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 76-17 loss at the hands of the Coolidge Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 80-26 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Alaysia White was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 17 steals for Coolidge. White is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 37 games she's played dating back to last season. Naylissa Charles was another key player, going 10 for 21 en route to 21 points in addition to six boards and five steals.

Globe's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Coolidge, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Globe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-25 loss against Florence on the 14th. As for Coolidge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-35 defeat against Valley Christian on the 14th.
