Johnson Central lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Austin Slone, who went 10-for-17 to rack up 30 points and six assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 53% in the last nine games he's played. Brayden Shepherd was another key player, going 7-for-11 from beyond the arc on his way to 25 points.

Johnson Central's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Pineville, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
