Baseball Recap: Kinder Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

While Kinder's victory against Lacassine wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Yellowjackets won by a run and slipped past the Cardinals 4-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Yellowjackets also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Kinder is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lacassine, they moved to 13-13 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kinder will head out to take on DeQuincy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Lacassine, they will head out on the road to challenge Breaux Bridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
