Softball Recap: Michelle Jenkins and Clara Allen Secure Win for J.H. Rose

J.H. Rose made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Ayden - Grifton, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The J.H. Rose Rampants beat the Ayden - Grifton Chargers on Monday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. Fans of the Rampants have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Santana Sneed made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, J.H. Rose let Clara Allen and Michelle Jenkins run wild. Allen scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4, while Jenkins went 2-for-4 with five RBI and one triple. Peyton James was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

J.H. Rose was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .350 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
