Soccer Recap: Cape Fear Finds Playoff Glory Versus Southern Alamance

With a playoff win on the line, Cape Fear rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Southern Alamance Patriots 2-1. That's two games straight that Cape Fear have won by just one goal.

Dani Fick and Andi Brinker scored both of Cape Fear's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Cape Fear has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those seven contests. As for Southern Alamance, they dropped their record down to 10-10-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Cape Fear will welcome Durham School of the Arts at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cape Fear will need to watch out since Durham School of the Arts have now posted at least four goals in their last three matches. Southern Alamance does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
