Baseball Recap: Cardington-Lincoln Takes a Loss

Cardington-Lincoln suffered their biggest defeat since April 30, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 7-1 to the Big Walnut Golden Eagles. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Cardington-Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Big Walnut, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Cardington-Lincoln will face off against Newark Catholic at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Green Wave will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight. As for Big Walnut, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lexington at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
