Football Game Preview: Desert Ridge Jaguars vs. Mountain View Toros + How To Watch

The Desert Ridge Jaguars are taking a road trip to take on the Mountain View Toros at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Ridge comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Desert Ridge's offense might be in the hot seat on Thursday considering what happened against Highland on Friday. They were dealt a 56-0 defeat at the hands of the Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona football rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Hawks are ranked 24th).

Meanwhile, Mountain View didn't have quite enough to beat ALA - Queen Creek on Friday and fell 24-22. While the Toros had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Patriots 7-3.

Desert Ridge will need to focus on slowing down Brady Goodman, one of several Mountain View players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 250 yards and three touchdowns. Goodman has become a key player for Mountain View: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. A healthy portion of Goodman's aerial production (98 yards to be exact) went to Zachary Galaviz, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Desert Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Desert Ridge was taken down by Mountain View 54-0 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
