Baseball Recap: Momence Takes a Loss

Momence managed to slip by Beecher the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Momence Athletics came up short against the Bobcats on Saturday, falling 7-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Momence Athletics were not able to get on the board.

Momence has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Beecher, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.

Looking ahead, Momence will head out on the road to square off against St. Anne at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Momence Athletics' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Beecher, they will take on Clifton Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
