Softball Recap: Viewpoint Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Viewpoint and Dos Pueblos squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Viewpoint had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 4-3.

Emjay Peck spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Viewpoint saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Skylar Meehan, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Viewpoint's defeat dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Dos Pueblos, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-14.

As of now, neither Viewpoint nor the Chargers have any future games scheduled.
