Volleyball Recap: Jeremiah Nissley and Zayden Vicente Secure Win for Green Valley

Green Valley won the last time they faced Cheyenne and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Gators blew past the Desert Shields 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gators.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-15, 25-16.

Leading Green Valley to victory were Zayden Vicente and Jeremiah Nissley. Vicente had ten digs and one assist, while Nissley had five digs and three aces. That's the most digs Vicente has posted over his last three matches.

They weren't the only good server: Green Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.

Green Valley's record now sits at 16-18. As for Cheyenne, their loss dropped their record down to 7-23.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Green Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cheyenne will face off against rival Sierra Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
