Branham and Santa Teresa are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Bruins will be playing at home against the Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Branham has three straight wins, Santa Teresa has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Branham is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Leland on Tuesday as they made off with a 21-9 victory. Considering the Bruins have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jacque Connolly - Hojas made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Connolly - Hojas was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, CC Bonnard was incredible, going 4-for-6 with one home run, nine RBI, and two runs. Those nine RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn Steiner, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and two RBI.

Branham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .596. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in five consecutive games.

Santa Teresa couldn't beat Ann Sobrato on Tuesday even though they stacked nine runs on them in the third inning. The Saints took a 23-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. Saints fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bulldogs since on Tuesday.

Deanna Hernandez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Aubrey Wasson was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Branham now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Santa Teresa, their loss dropped their record down to 6-18.
